Gold Coast dial-up ISP (Qld Net Pty Ltd, Ashmore QLD). Feb 1997 qldnet.com.au portal offered the classic small-ISP service set: free software downloads, a web-page generator, 'AUTOFAX EMAIL', an 8 GB 'CACHE SURF' proxy browser, hosted classifieds, and Gold Coast/Brisbane weather. Two /23-scale 1997 allocations. Absorbed by Chariot Ltd around 2004 in its Queensland consolidation: by Mar 2005 qldnet.com.au was rebranded as Chariot's Queensland 'netconnect' portal, with qldnet.com.au a customer mail domain.
