| birth | Jan 1992 approx | Started by Mark Siena as a sole-operation computer support and sales company; expanded to become the 5th internet service and provisioning company in Perth, eventually employing over 20 staff across network design/implementation, web creation, database design and programming. | official |
| death | c. 1999 approx | ISP portion of the company sold to iiNet (founder record). Exact date not published; timing inferred from iiNet's post-IPO Perth consolidation immediately after its Sept 1999 listing (Wantree, Omen Internet, Networx, Nettrek, Infinite Data et al.) - iiNet's own history page does not name PSInet explicitly among those acquisitions. The remaining non-ISP business continued as Digital Ventures (Siena plus two partners) until at least Jan 2003. The c.1999 acquisition death stands with hard evidence, with one refinement: PSInet (Perth) had rebranded to Infinite Data by Dec 1997 (its own homepage), and it was Infinite Data that iiNet acquired in late 1999 per iiNet's official history - the domain then lay parked by 2007. | official official wayback-replay wayback-replay wayback-replay |
